Nigerian Man Arrested for Identity theft in US

A Nigerian man, Daniel Adekunle Ojo has been arrested by FBI in North Carolina and charged with Fraud and Identity Theft.




Ojo,who had spent less than 14 months in United States was arrested for using Gmail and AOL accounts which targeted school districts in Minnesota and Connecticut to get Employee's personal information in a fraudulent way and file bogus tax returns.

Deirdre M. Daly, the US Attorney for the Connecticut district,Patricia M. Ferrick, Special Agent in Charge of the New Haven Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Joel P. Garland, Special Agent in Charge of Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation in New England all announced his arrest on Friday..




Ojo appeared before a Magistrate court in North Carolina and was ordered to be detained till he'll be transferred to the District of Connecticut.
