Two Officers working as Escorts for Davido detained by the Police

A video that had gone viral some times ago which showed two Officers working as Escorts for Davido shooting openly in air while in a moving vehicle in Lagos as attracted the attention of the Nigerian Police.

ACP Abayomi Shogunle,who is also the Head of Public Complaints Rapid Response Unit said that they commenced Investigations when complaints were submitted by members of the public.




It was reported that the incident happened around 5pm on the 31st July.It was also reported that the two Officers were attached to Infinity Security Company and Davido engaged them to provide him escort to his house when returning from Outside of Nigeria.

Shogunle made it known  that investigation confirmed that the two policemen involved started shooting into the air for no just cause, and are now in detention.

They have been tried in orderly room and punishment has been recommended. "The conduct of those policemenis unacceptable. They are no longer involved in any duty where they will carry any weapon and will be in detention until the process is over before they will be released,"
he said.
